ISU Skating Awards 2023 announced

Settembre 24, 2022
ISU Skating Awards 2023 announced

The International Skating Union (ISU) in collaboration with the world-famous skating show Art on Ice, have announced that the third edition of the ISU Skating Awards will take place on February 5, 2023. Benefitting from a revisited concept and format, the 2023 ISU Skating Awards edition will be hosted and filmed for the first time in front of a live audience.

Equally unique is the fact that the ISU Skating Awards will be integrated into one special Art on Ice show giving rise to an entirely new set-up, atmosphere and experience.

The 2023 ISU Skating Awards thus promise to deliver an exceptional show combining performances by musical acts, professional dancers and renowned Figure Skaters, as well as exclusive interviews, behind the scenes and of course the announcement of the Awards winners in each category that viewers will be able to follow on the Skating ISU YouTube channel.

After two editions which were exclusively live-streamed in 2020 and 2021, and the postponement of the 2022 edition, the 2023 ISU Skating Awards will be produced for the first time live in an arena full of spectators and will be simultaneously live streamed.

Reuniting their expertise and passion to celebrate Figure Skating, the ISU and Art on Ice are more than ever committed to presenting a new edition bringing together the fun and entertainment of a skating show with all the glamour of an Award-giving ceremony. Due to the multiple challenges faced during the 2021/22 season, including but not limited to the war in Ukraine and its consequences on ISU activities, the Council regrettably had to postpone the ISU Skating Awards 2022.

The 2023 edition of the Awards will honor the careers and performances of outstanding Figure Skaters and the work of Coaches and Choreographers for the 2022 calendar year which includes the ISU Championships, the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2022.

Nominees and Figure Skating celebrities will be invited to the exclusive show on February 5, 2023. More information regarding the event’s program, format and ticket sales will be shared in due course.
